In case you don't know the story, local skateboarders nailed about 200 pieces of skateboards and wheels to two trees in front of the Blount Street Skate Shop near downtown and also hung worn out skate shoes to the tree branches in effort to showcase the efforts of local skateboarders and to honor fallen skateboarders, as well as create a work of art. However the City of Fayetteville is demanding that they destroy the trees. These trees promote freedom of expression and is just what Fayetteville needs to elevate itself from the mundane.
